Lots of windows 2k problems

Last time I reformatted, I used a win2k sp2 version to install. Since then, I've had tons of problems. None of them were big, just needed a restart every 3-4 days. After a few months, it's starting to get really annoying. Is there a way to fix this without having to reformat? Perhaps install all the core files?

The errors I get seem to be from memory leaks. For example, in AIM, all the names and toolbars don't show up. MIRC just closes due to weird error. Etc. Any help would be appreciated. thx.
 
Froms what your describing it could be a ton of things. Did these problems show up right after you freshly formatted it? Or after you installed some software? It's hard to toubleshoot when you don't give us exact errors. Have you tried a memory tester to see if your memory is ok? We need more info to help you out.
 
I agree that it sounds like a memory leak could cause this. Start by using perfmon to try to find the process that's leaking memory.
