Ive created a gaming pc hmm I think my unit went 3 years already. Well, before when I created it, so far my unit is one of the best. But now, my computer cant even go "ultra" when it comes to Dota 2. Now, Im planning to have a new one and dispose this current unit of mine. Unfortunately, there are lots of things to consider most especially the changes about the power supply. I want to go cheaper, why? Because from the time that I created my 3 year old unit, my parents were the ones that gave out the money. But now, im the person who will surely take out money from my wallet and and from what I earned from working.

Any suggestions making things cheaper for me? What the best hardwares that can make it "explosive" in gaming and yet the cost will not seriously hurt.

I've went the cheap route before when it comes to power supplies and after 2 burned up at the same time, I purchase better power supplies. Meaning, you get what you pay for.

Exactly. You get what you pay for. With that said you can cut corners to save money.

OP, are you starting from scratch? Could you save the tower you're currently using? What about mouse, keyboard and monitor?

Agreed - if it goes, it can take a lot of stuff with it.

"Cheap" is relative, OP. To some it's an APU (integrated CPU & GPU) while to others it's a GTX970. Post what you want to spend, what you need to upgrade, and what you want to play in the proper forum and you'll be helped.

If a power supply goes south it can absolutely take everything else down with it. Why in gods name would you cheap out on something that can destroy your entire investment?

"Good" power supplies aren't even that expensive anymore so it's not worth it to be cheap.
