Lots of RAM

I need a 64 bit platform with lots and lots of RAM. Like 8GB at least, preferably 16GB or more.

Are there any motherboards out there that would support this much RAM? I haven't been keeping up with the 64-bit world and this is where I'm starting my research.

More then 16GB of ram? holy crap? May I ask what you're using this for? That's around 5,000 bux just on ram.
