Without consulting with me our system admin ordered 8 PCI video cards based on the nvidia 6200 chip. It was intended to run with the onboard intel gpu for a simple 2d dual monitor setup. Well we have had nothing but problems, such as the PC not waking up, freezing completely, or the second monitor cutting out where a restart won't even help. We tried several different driver versions but the one that came with the card seem the most stable. Even then I'm still getting 2 or 3 calls every week from these users about monitor issues.

My suggestion would have been to purchase video cards with dual heads and disable the onboard completely to avoid any possible driver conflicts. Well too late now.

I'm sorry, are you asking a question or just letting us know you work with a douche?

Heh, this is classic government style thinking...or should I say, lack of thinking.

that guy in your IT is going to get fired or better start fixing stuff.

FYI.. you can not just pop video cards in without the drivers to support it.

Using 2 different set of gpu drivers will cause your system to become unstable, which im pretty sure you doing unless ur onboard is a nvidia as well.
