When I'm at school, work, or anywhere else people have laptops, I usually see people with their headphones listening to music. I've recently discovered Pandora and wanted to listen to some music while I was studying.
However, there is a noticeable electric hum coming from the headphone jack. It's volume changes depending on which headphones I use but it's always there. I've tried tweaking the volume settings and everything but nothing seems to do the trick.
Has anyone with a Compaq experienced this? If this is more or less normal for the particular model/brand then I'll probably see if I can get a cheap USB soundcard or something. Otherwise, I'd like to get this fixed before the warranty runs out.
