Lots of jammed routers on TWNYC

Tried to do some online gaming before, and pings were over 300 (normally in the 60 range). Pinged/traced several websites, and many different routers were jammed up, like 12ms on one side, and 278 on the next hop. Some inside local RR network, some outside.

Anyone else seeing a slowdown like this? Local, or regional/national?

Well, that may be, but I never have "peak usage" problems. I'm always gaming at this time.

I get those lag spikes and cable signal loss (cable light on my Toshiba 1100 modem goes out) from time to time every day. About 4-5 times and it gets annoying real fast when I get disconnects from gaming, browsing, chatting, or downloading.

With more people getting Road Runner in hicksville here, I'm starting to have these problems too, thinking about switching to one of the more expensive DSL (now abandoned :D) plans that has nice upload

I have been seeing router jams all day... even 3-5 seconds of complete DOS possibly, on the Comcast networks in PA.

Roadrunner uses what they call a shared network. The more people on it, the slower it gets.

No, there's major network routing problems in NY/NJ at the moment.
I know Comcast is affected, and this could be related.

However bad it is on cable, it cant be nearly as bad as it is on verizon dsl in the 718 area code. It barely works. Been this way for weeks.
