Just curious what is this? Everything I look up about this port mentions you should open it for bittorrent, but in my case I have multiple people making hundreds of attempts to connect to this port. I've never used bit torrent.

Thanks!

If you don't have anything on that port, you shouldn't worry. If you have DHCP someone probably had your ip address previously and had a bt connection going.

No I've had this same IP for a long time. If I'm reading this right, this guy's port 65210 is trying to connect to my port 6881 (tell me if I am reading this wrong). Itis being blocked, I just was curious what it was. (The IP's were before the port, I edited it out).

You are correct. Don't know what it is. If you don't have 6881 open, not much reason to care. ;)

TCP port list

Here is a common port list for tcp/ip it was last updated june 2nd 2004, so its pretty current. This might help you understand some of the common ports that get hit time and time again.

6881-6890 are the default ports for BitTorrent. If you don't use it and don't have anything listening on that port I wouldn't worry about it.

Relax and try to forget about it.

Been concern about this is like standing in your home by the window looking at the cars passing by, and asking why all of these people are passing by? I do not like it!

Internet traffic passing by your door (port). The Ports are closed, enjoy life.

Ahh, I don't usually worry about it, and was more curious than anything :)

I like to know motivations behind certain port scans, and this one just seemed 'stupid'.
