Lots of flashing/flickering textures in BF2!

Didn't notice these when I was using a 7800 GTX.

So is this a problem with just ATI cards and is there any way to fix it?

Did you remove all of the Nvidia drivers. If not that could pose some problems. Try running a less buggy game. Sometimes BF2 is just weird.

uninstall jk but can you describe these flickering textures somemore? Is it just a here/there type thing, like underneath signs and such, very subtle misformities? Or like the whole screen go KABLAB and flash like a japanese techno?

You may be overheating so make sure you have proper cooling. Also, I'd do a fresh install and put in the Catalyst 6.5 drivers.

Just as you described.

I did a clean install when I switched to ATI. Also, my card and/or CPU isn't overheating.

Have you tried to run other games besides BF2? It sounds like you are getting artifacts. Also what monitor do you have I have heard of LCD's going out and producing off color pixels around the edges of structures in games. PM Josh6079 he has an ATI x1900xtx and has noticed this in oblivion.

oh well i think everyone gets that, ive gotten that with both my 6800ultra and my 7800gs. It doesnt really bother me that much but its the game itself that causes it.
