lots of downloads + firefox = 100% cpu usage

so ive been trying firefox after my IE got hijacked (finally fixed it) and i had mad downloads (6 or 7) coming through firefox download manager, it was getting great speeds over broadband but eventually firefox went to 'not responding' and took up >200MB of RAM and eventually I had to close it. Is this a memory leak? I've since downloaded files and haven't had the problem, but I want to know if others have had this happen and if there's a fix. thanks!

There's a memory leak problem in firefox 0.7. It's a problem that won't be easy to fix and I believe they are still working on it. Check out more info at: www.mozilla.org
