LOTRO : Mordor

Oh wrong game, sorry. Post contents removed. Elder Scrolls Online was taking too long to download patches not LOTRO.

I log in daily for the free present, so only get a large patch once every couple months normally.

Yeah I bolted in here posting in the wrong thread, sorry again. Download times for LOTRO were fine when I played. I'm no longer playing it, I'm waiting for another high res patch. The latest hi res update which is a few years old I believe didn't seem detailed enough. But the gameplay is very good.

After checking looks like the last hi res patch is was in 2014. Don't know if Mordor will come with extra detail res pak.

10th anniversary. Damn. I used to play this daily.

Bought several of the legendary expansions when they were new. The prices of them kept going up over the years, though, and priced me out of the game. I still had 10's of thousands of their turbine points or whatever they were called when I left too. Left a lot of money on the table. I think the regret from missing out on a lifetime subscription when it was available contributed substantially to my stoppage, too.

Game was fun, though. Lots of great memories. May pick it up again just to check out Mordor.

you should have all those points and if since there's no monthly fee you could come back without anything out of pocket.

I have logged in once every 3 months sense Diablo 3 came out in 2015.... bought every expansion and have a life time membership but have not played sense 2012. I will get this one and should hit it again.... but will I????

Never played, but maybe I should???? WoW was fun back in the day. Got tired of it quick though and stopped after Litch King. Guild hated me cause I was a raid leader and main tank. But I've been wanting to jump back into an mmo so.... No time like the present right? Or wait for the expansion and try to get a deal on everything?

Trying to play a bit with the anniversary scavenger hunt. Have no real idea on best spec tree builds and can't find much of in depth guide info, anyone a more regular player that knows where to look?

Somehow i got sucked in and been playing a bit. Doing events and finishing up volume 2. Even though I had most of Miriam and Kirkwood done, had 2 books left undone and it involves a bit of back in forth and instances in moria.

Anyone bought the premium housing yet? As one that doesn't have to pay upkeep there, the additional decoration spots sounds great to clear out some space.

Hmm. Haven't played it since Helm's Deep, three years ago I guess. Just got tired of it. For Mordor however, I'll jump back in. My SO will hate me. This better be worth it Turbine/Standing Stone Games 😛

Only downside is they have seemed to increase the prices of the editions above basic
It used to be 30, 50, and then the big one.

But its been ages since I have been back into LOTRO, even though I had purchased all the previous expansions.
Probably will wait till around Xmas as they usually have them on sale around that time

Also wonder what the High Elf race adds, as cannot find any information on it really.

Fun fact : Turbine invented ingame micro transactions before being bought by WB.

The rest is history. Good game though.

I used to play this with my buddy when we lived together for a couple years. Lots of good times. I was actually a beta tester for the game, in like 2007, before it was released.

I like the game but didn't like that once you got a house you had to continually login and pay rent (I think that's what it was?). What a pain in the ass. I think you could pay for a few months at once, but still, it was continual. For someone who just casually plays games having to do that is annoying as fuck. I always got hit with the penalties but thankfully I had a lot of cash to cover it, IIRC.

They've added new housing that doesn't have rent while on subscription status (which is forever for lifetime sub members). They do cost a bit more upfront though.
