LOTRO lessons

Here's a little LOTRO lessoned learned.

Just logged back in yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks to do more than just check mail following a little vacation and what not. The wife's been a little sick which has resulted in me being a little tired, but I decided to play some computer instead of taking a nap. After doing a couple quest turn ins I decided to clean up some bag space before heading out. While sorting my stuff I check the items I want to get rid of and then head to the vendor. I select the first stack I want to get rid of and then hit the sell button. A pop up window appears and I select ok and get ready to sell my next stack.

Well, that's what I thought had happened. When I went to select my next stack I notice my inventory is empty. It seems I hit the sell all button vice the normal sell button and it wiped everything I had. At this point I wasn't too worried, since I will just head over to the buyback button. At that point I get worried as the damn system only holds the last 16 items you sold to buy back. While now feeling like I got screwed in the goatarse, the only thing I can think of is at least my horse was one of the items I was able to buy back.

So the morale of the story is not to play you MMO while tired after an extended absence, the buttons may not do what you think they will.

Another lesson, more LOTRO specific, make use of the selling lock so you don't sell stuff you don't mean to. 😉

 definitely. Learned this the hard way myself.

Good story though OP and at least you got your pony back!

I normally sell by doubleclicking so the lock was never really needed. Won't be ignoring popup messages while playing tired anymore though 😉

Damn, just logged in and realized that one of the items I lost was a page for the final skill books that someone gave me 🙁
