LOTR:TTT + PowerDVD = no worky!

I try to run it in powerDVD and I get 1fps, washed out video, and basic suckyness. I have re-installed and this is a fairly clean install of Win2k. All other DVD's work perfectly.

Edit: The DIVX player has a similar problem. The only thing that can seem to play it is the interactual player included with the DVD (which doesn't support surround sound)

Have you tried the dvd in a home player? Does it work?
What vid card are you using and what drivers?

I don't have a home DVD player.

Works on WinDVD with my gf4 4600.. Im hearing bad things about the newest det drivers.

isnt there an issue with macrovision and the detonators? are you getting a specific error?

New titles are coming out with a new region-protection key, and sometimes is unplayable in computer DVD drives. A friend of mine had similar problems with a few other titles. I told him to install DVD Region-Free. Everything is working fine now.

You should at least try it, there's a free trial version on their site.
