I just finished reading all three of the books again, so I am extra excited to see the films. Good thing we'll have seven months of Star Wars goodness before this one hits the theaters.

I own the single volume release of LOTR illustrated by Alan Lee. His artwork is AWESOME! It's pretty much as I always pictured everything looking like. My favorite pictures are the scene at Galadriel's Mirror, and when Frodo, Sam and Smeagol are approaching the Moranon(sp?), and you can see the armies in the distance. It's the picture on the dust jacket. It's a REALLY nice book, but quite unwieldy to read. Having it in three volumes would be great.
