Ok, so I just finished watching the extended edition and I must say that it is a great improvement over the theatrical version. The only scene I didn't like was the one with Denethor and thats just b/c I don't like him in the books or the movie. I think the Flotsam and Jetsam scene was the best, although many other scenes were extended to provide a more fitting storyline I feel. So who else out there has seen this and has an opinion? I'm curious to see what others have to say about the Denethor scene.

Also, is anyone else experiencing a problem when the DVD goed to the second layer? My player stuttered for a second, something it has never done before.

Glad to hear it's better!

I bought the gift set for my wife for Christmas (she loves these movies) and since you said it is a great improvement perhaps I can stomach sitting down and watching it one more time in hopes that possibly I can see what it is that I am missing with these movies.

Great movie though, the updated scenes fill the gaps in the storyline

You're on crack. This is probably the best addition.

More John Noble please.

Agreed. That was a great scene and it did an excellent job of fleshing out Faramir.
