Well, I've already shared my thoughts on it with ATOT, but now here's your chance to get more opinions. If anyone else here has seen it early, post your review.

ANd I'll link to the Rotten Tomatoes page where ROTK currently has 100% fresh and a 9.6/10 average.

ROTK 0wns j00! :D

It's a lock for best picture.

i thought you were crazy but just a day ago my sister called me up and told me that she has an extra ticket to trilogy tuesday in hollywood and she wants to fly me out from seattle to go see it so i am going to fly 1000+ miles to sit in a theater for a whole day and then fly back and then see return of the king on opening night again.

Don't wet yourself there, kami.
:D

I find this strange. It shows two 12:01 AM shows. Now I thought that may be a midnight premiere for all those willing to stay up Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But after tallking to Kenny at movietickets.com, he tells me this is for Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Why do that? If you trying to cram in as many people as you can for a one day tally wouldn't you have the show at Midnight? There are no other days of the week that shows it at 12:01 AM.

Hmm, means I have to go down to the ticket office and get verification. I just don't trust that Kenny.
:p

MaxDepth, kenny is wrong.

Since 12:01am is technically the 17th it means they are having two midnight shows on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

Damn, I wish I hadn't read this thread :). Now I want to see it even more. I don't think I will ever anticipate another film as eagerly as this one, and when its all done I think I'll be sad that its over. But I've been reading what other people write and some feel the same way, so if I'm crazy, at least I have company...

Which might not be the case when I see it. I so badly want to see it opening day, but not one of my friends can or will go. Lousy bastards. So, I think I am gonna end up watching this movie all by myself on opening day with the uber-fans. Oh well, its a sacrafice I'll just have to make...

Really looking forward to the movie. And then to seeing the movie a few more times with friends&family. And then to seeing the movie a few more times by myself. And then to waiting for the DVD to come out. And then waiting for the Director's Extended DVD to come out. And then waiting for the full-three-pak of the movies to come out, and then the extended-three-movie-set, and then the Deluxe three-movies-and-a-baby set, and then the Academy Award Winner set, and then the Documentary of the Making of the Academy Award Winner set, etc.

For some of us LOTR never ends :D .
