I'm trying to justify not pre-ordering Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Widescreen, 4 Discs) for $44.05 CDN before taxes/shipping from Amazon.ca. I could throw in coupon code CANADALAUNCH to bring the subtotal down to $39.05...but still, that's quite a lot of money for one DVD movie and some mini-statues.
Would it be better to wait and hope that Best Buy, Walmart et al. have a deal on this DVD set in November or should I pre-order it online right now anyway? If I'm not going to get a set with the figures, I don't want it. Umm...so let me sum that up.
1) Is the widescreen collector's edition + polystone figures going to be available in B&M stores? I'd like to save on shipping if possible.
2) Are we all getting gouged on the price of the DVD set right now? Is it a better idea to wait till November rolls around and prices come down a little to buy this?
3) Am I risking the wrath of kami by even asking such questions? 😀
