Lost World Found in Cave

Well that was a friggin' given. The place was discovered by a friggin' piece of excavation equipment - and there's not a much more disturbing way to be discovered.

The one animal in the photo doesn't look very different. I would expect that a sealed system, after 5 million years, would have evolved things that were fantastically different from known creatures.

Seems odd that the only obvious change would be not having eyes.

5 million years is a long weekend as far as evolution goes. And remember, these creatures were likely already adapted to the majority of their environment before whatever happened to seal it.
