Being a Lost geek, I really want to play this game... but I'm so worried that its some lame cash in product. I have not seen any reviews posted yet, but if you guys do... add them here :)

Heh. I think the only thing worse than movie tie-in games are TV tie-in games. ;)

We'll see, there's been a severe lack of real adventure games (little action, mostly adventure) on all systems lately... I'm hoping that Lost really takes it.

wikipedia:
In issue #11 of the Official Lost Magazine (July/August 2007) Damon Lindelof was asked in its 'Pearls of Wisdom' Q&A section: "How is the Lost video game looking from what you've seen?" He replied: "From what I've seen? RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME!"

If Damon Lindelof says it's ridiculously awesome, then it's gonna be ridiculously awesome. I dunno. I heard that it was supposed to actually be pretty good.

I never watch lost but if it's a decent game I may try it out. I hope it's not one of those that are considered good ONLY to fans of the series.

Hi.. I have seen every episode of Lost. It's is a good show but seems to get worse as it goes on.

Anyways, I think that the game will feature a storyline of one new character that will make sense to people who haven't seen the show before but they won't make all the connections and won't have the same level of understanding as to what is going on as someone who has seen all the episodes.. The way storytelling is in Lost is a lot of events that happen are shown later on from a different perspective and you gain new insights but it only makes sense if you have seen all the episodes..

I was worried about the game, so I went looking for some gameplay videos... I did not like what I saw :( Still no pro-reviews either.

Sorry for lateness of my impressions.

If you are a HUGE. I mean HUGE lost fan, this game is worth a $5 rental. Anything more than that is really pushing it. It had some neat lost stuff in there (ending was good, tied in with an episode 2 weeks ago) but overall it was just bad.

Voice acting was just some of the worst I've ever heard. They got a few real actors for voices (Ben, Claire, Desmond) but they had maybe a total of 1 and a half mins of talking. So it was great to hear decent voices but wham that was over.

Gameplay was bad. Just bad. The story jumped around and didn't follow the show that well (Since when do the Others have tree-forts and shoot at you in the jungle, on the 2nd day you are on the island no less? And yell "There he is!").

Graphics are decent at time. The best part of the game was when you had to run through the jungle and dodge trees and rocks. Yeah, that's saying much.

Overall, if you are a huge Lost nerd, and when the season ends in 9 days and need a lost fix, a rental is fine. Everyone else stay away.

Actually, no. After episode 8 (9 days from now), the show will go on hiatus for 4 weeks or so and return on 4/24 for the final episodes of S4. At least that's what wikipedia says. ;)

So the game has a 55 on metacritic, according to wikipedia. It's mediocre and short (4-6 hours). There's also a lack of quality voice acting (only a few main actors did the game). I might pick it up from the bargain bin in awhile, but I'm in no rush to play it.
