Lost the automatic http and my browser is under attack

I can do a url search if and only if I do http:// first. I don't think I have had to do that for a long time. And now I have lost my Home page and other things to a Search page. I think it is something to do with a hijacker named WhenU. I have tried spybot and ad_aware6, search and delete and it's still there. It wont let me customize and when I change internet options to my home page it won't change. Any Ideas on any of these problems would be muchly appreciated.
 
Thank you, I think I am rid of that nasty (whenu) hijacker, but I'm not sure because I still don't have my auto HTTP. Sorry, I did a forum search but nothing turned up and I didn't think of it as a software/app. problem.
