I have posted this before with no response. Can anybody PLEASE help.
I have lost the option to share files within XP Pro. I have previously shared files without problem but now this option has suddenly disappeared. It is not on context menus and I no longer have a sharing tab.
Simple file sharing is NOT ticked. Enabling and disabling this has no effect.
I do have a security tab for drive/folder/file properties but NO sharing.
PLEASE somebody must be able to help - I dont want to re-installl my XP Pro if I can avoid it.
UPDATE:
THe problem was a missing dll file - 'ntshrui.dll' - replaced this and the tabs reappeared (Thanxs to Soothsayer on the Peppys Windows Forum for this)😀
