I bought Vista Home Premium when it first came out but I now want to reinstall the OS onto an SSD. Problem is, I can't find the DVD. I do still have the original activation key - is there a way to still find a copy of the DVD?

Thanks Charlie (again!). Will have another look around. I 'found' a so called retail ISO on a certain web site, but I had trouble getting it onto a USB stick. I may just burn it to a DVD and hope that works better.

BTW, now that my 2500k is working again, it's gonna get donated to work once the 4790k comes out

Stop it... you are making my 2500 feel old! :p

I had an Acer rebuild that had a funky copy of Vista Home Entertainment OS (or something like that...) and I posted in the FS/FT thread about a disk. One of the other AT members loaned me his disk for the cost of postage. That's actually where I found out about the downloadable ISOs, too, but if it doesn't work, there are other options.

Good luck!

A couple kind souls PM'd me with some help, one person even sent me a direct download link (looked like it was hosted on his own server). Thanks guys :)

PS. I'm gonna get the MSI Z97 Gaming 7 mobo while I wait for the new CPU. Newegg has good reviews on the board and MSI matches my video card. And honestly, the door hanger was the decider :p
