lost recycle bin in win98

tech question. My girlfriend's mom's computer using win98 doesn't have a recycle bin. She does have a Norton shell. Ever heard of such a thing? When you delete something it's just gone. Can't find recycle bin hiding anywhere. She accidentally deleted some important jpegs and i told her, "no sweat, just go into recycle bin and restore them." Then we discovered no recycle bin. Could there still be one lurking invisibly? Or does this require a reinstall of windows?

it might be hidden. Download TweakUI and see if you can change it so its displayed again.

Thanks Derango. That restored her recycle bin. Unfortunately there was nothing in it (lost pix), but it'll save her for the future.
