Lost recycle bin in vista

I accidentally deleted the recycle bin on the desktop instead of emptying it. How do i get it back in Vista?

Deleting the recycle bin puts it in the recycle bin. This creates a recursive loop that causes a hole in space time. Please destroy your computer before we are all doomed.

Go to Control panel, appearance and personalization, personalization, then to change desktop icons.

Put a checkmark under Recycle Bin. Click apply and then OK.

weird, i didnt even see that thing. why is it over on the left separated from the other options???

Don't feel bad. The same thing happened to me. It took me a little bit of looking to find out how to restore it to my desktop. This seems like a glitch. I don't remember the recycle bin being that easy to remove in XP. As far as I know, I accidently hit the wrong key on my keyboard and boom it was gone. I think XP would have given you a little warning box first.

Reminds of the day I deleted my C drive. Turned up in the Recycle Bin. When I think of Windows 95 I think of the day the Recycle Bin RESTORE button gave new meaning. The Microsoft people had not conceived the idea of System Restore back then. Maybe they had thought of it, but it didn't have enough 'Are You Ready for WOW!" effect yet.
