I just saw the episode after Ana-Lucia Cortez shot and killed Shannon. My question is what is the connection between Ana-Lucia and Dr. Jack Shephard?
 
As far as I know, the connection is that they met and talked for a few minutes at a Sydney airpot bar before the flight took off.
 
They met just before they boarded the plane at the airport. There was some interest there... I believe he bought her a drink... can't exactly remember.

As for the "oh wow" connection... I don't think they revealed that yet.
