Lost Planet, "user authentication failed"

I got Lost Planet for free from XFX for buying a 8800GTS from newegg. I got steam logged in, and I started it from the my games tab. Then I get a giant 'user authentication failed', and I can't do anything except exit back to steam.

From my random googling, it seems that only people who have the pirated version of this game seem to have the problem

Anyone have any ideas?

According to that thread, the problem has been solved.

So . . . We love Steam.
