Lost password link from main page doesn't work.

I clicked on login from the main page http://www.anandtech.com. I couldn't login so I thought I forgot my password. I clicked on Forgot password. When I entered my email it said it didn't work and to correct my errors. I assume the page thought I entered in the wrong email but I didn't. I decided to try through the forum and it worked. The Forgot password link worked through the forum.
 
Actually, the two are entirely separate things. Your forum account will not work on the main page (what we refer to as the editorial side), and any account created there will not be tied to your forum account. In essence, what you tried to do was request a password reset for an account that doesn't exist on the editorial side.

This is something we are hoping to address in the future, but it's a work in progress.

I know from experience that implementing single sign-on is a bear. Good luck with it and please take your time - we don't need more forum problems.
