Have an Abit KX133 u/100 mobo at work.
IBM 75GXP 15 gig hard drive.
The Drive keeps losing the EXTENDED partition.
Have Fdisk and fdisk /mbr
Used Nortons NDD. Nortons will repair it but only to one drive D and not D and E.
I'll fdisk it again and just a little while late the D and E drives are gone!
Have latest Virus protection etc.
Help!
 
It happens sometimes on big HDD's after a firmware update or controller bios update or something. I had stuff like that happening. Repartition in your current setup, reformat and don't change it again. Should work.
