Lost Partition - Want to Recover Files from Hard Drive

I installed Norton Systemworks.. and for some reason my hard drive lost the partition information.

I tried to recover the partition by recreating it.. then using some third party tool that finds lost partitions.. it's just a mess.. no luck.

I have a few files (pics) I want to recover from it. I don't care about the original partition or anything.. just want to see anything I can recover.

Is there a tool or tip I can do this with?

GetDataBack has saved me twice. the PC wouldnt boot because my Partition Table had got corrupted.

Really appreciate the TestDisk link. I found this post while trying to deal with a problem of my own, and TestDisk fixed what demos of $100 software couldn't do, for free, in seconds vs. 45 minutes plus for some of the others. Thanks!
