Lost Odyssey Xbox 360

I bought a 360 specifically to play this game recently. The story is fairly interesting but the combat is slow to load and uninteresting. I've made it through other high encounter rate jrpgs with fast forwarding on an emulator, but this game is not fully playable by emulator.

I've made it to disc 3. Is it worth pushing through to the end?

That's a blast from 2008's past for me. My memory was enjoyable "modern" RPG graphics but kind of meh otherwise.

What prompted you to get a 360 just for that game?

I finished FF6 after getting sidetracked at Kefka years ago, and Lost Odyssey was another well regarded rpg that I had quit before competing.

For some reason it's not backwards compatible with XBone. I also picked up Tiger Woods, Top Spin Tennis and Red Dead Redemption which have been good fun.

The 360 itself was inexpensive, as it should be, but the optical drive lens needed cleaning so I had to take it apart.

?? Lost Odyssey is BC. As is Red Dead Redemption.

You are correct, my mistake. It was the sports games not being backwards compatible and my cheapness that steered me back to the 360.

There has been a shortage of good golf and tennis games for years.

Ah, yes, sports games they generally don't bother with the older ones.

Here is a comparison of loading different areas in Lost Odyssey between the 3 generations:

Red Dead is pretty amazing on Series X / One X as they have bumped the resolution and added texture filtering.
