Lost my Start Menu programs in Win XP Professional!

So, everything was fine. My system logged me off by time limit, and when I logged back in, my start menu reverted to a fresh installation "look". When I went to the all programs list, all the folders are there but they are all EMPTY! Also, all the programs not in folders are gone! I am clueless. I tried system restore to no avail. Anybody else EVER see this or knows hot fo fix it?
