Lost my Pixel 6 pro this weekend (or more likely stolen), anything I can really do besides secure and wipe it?

I was at a music fest this weekend, 2nd day we were leaving after a band was done and suddenly realized my phone wasn't in my pocket. I had been texting my friend to meet up after that band during the show so I definitely had it during, thought maybe I had dropped it so went back to look for it and found someone else's phone (that we returned to them) but couldn't find mine. Didn't turn up at lost and found at all so I'm pretty sure someone took it.

I already secured it using find my phone, not sure I can do anything else. The last known location shows the park that the fest was at on Saturday so no help there, I didn't have my notification shade secured on there so they could have easily turned off location. Contemplating wiping it now but the fest does a final sweep after the fest has ended so it might possibly turn up.

Is there anything else I can do or am I pretty much boned?

Unfortunately no updates so far, so probably either permanently lost or stolen. I'm going to wipe the phone remotely (or request it I guess), but if I do that does it unlock everything like doing a factory reset or no? Preferably I'd hope the thing would be bricked if I wipe it like this so the thief can't make any money off of it.

Remote wiping will reset it to factory defaults. I would definitely do this. Also report the IMEI as stolen or bad.

Is there a specific place to report IMEI as stolen? Already wiped the phone but haven't really reported it anywhere. I did mention it was stolen when I contacted Fi support but not sure that really does anything.

I'm not sure reporting it as stolen accomplishes anything, I think that is more a database for companies to report phones that haven't been paid for, but perhaps I'm wrong. But if you could simply report IMEI as stolen it could easily be abused, so I can't imagine just reporting it as such will cause it to be actually flagged (unless you hadn't paid it off yet in which case your carrier probably already is having it flagged).

The slightly good news is that if it was stolen, that even if they factory reset it, Android won't let them setup another account without you logging in during the setup process. I found this out the hard way after I factory reset my Mom's old LG V60. Hmm, I guess if you remote wipe it and remove your account it might let them setup another account on it, but not sure.

Yeah I’m hoping it requires a password to set it up after the wipe, as long as they’re left with a worthless brick. You have to verify your account when you remote wipe so I was kind of assuming that would happen.

I think reporting your phone as stolen to your cell provider lets them block it, and also gives you relief if someone manages to make a bunch of international calls and cranks up your bill you should be covered. I suppose if you have a lot of apps with credit card links like Venmo etc. best to take care of that too. I don't use my fingerprint reader because it sux even on my S23 Ultra, but my Gmail account has some of my passwords in it so I'd have to erase my phone quickly if I ever lose it.
