Ok, this is really getting to me. Three weeks ago it did nearly the same thing but worse after running "Scan Disk", which after it was done showed no errors, repairs,ect. But when I closed out the "scan disk" app. I got an explorer error, and my comp froze up solid. And Would not re-start Windows after pulling the plug. After reformatting, ect. Everything ran just fine untill just a few days ago when I removed a few games from my computer, and thought I'd do a "disk Defrag" just as a maintenance thing. After defragging and shutting down the machine. The very next time I went to start it up, I get the HIMEM.SYS/missing mssg. and of course Windows wouldn't load.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe it's an issue with Norton Antivirus software, because I had performed both of these tasks before in the past with no problems, but had loaded Norton afterwards.
