OK..Built this system about 8 months ago. Did not add any new H/W since.System has run perfect since.
2 days ago I noticed c and d drive running slow. Checked for virus, spyware, malware and trojans. Also ran hijack this. Found nada. Then checked device manager and found primary ide controller in PIO mode. Went into BIOS and it was still in auto mode. Reset CMOS. Still same. Updated BIOS and installed new Nvidia MB drivers. Nada still. Deleted ATA in dev man, rebooted. no help.
The drives on secound controller is DMA. Should I get a PCI controller card?
Thanks,
