Lost my Motorola V300 at the mall today, tried calling my cell, but person
turned cell phone off, can't reach it... Left message to please call back and return, possibly
for reward.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement new/used to work w/ my plan (Tmobile)
without paying an arm & a leg (besides looking on Ebay)? Need phoen cuz going on interviews this and next week, currently borrowing my gf's phone...

I called Tmobile to let them know, I can track my minutes usage on-line and thus far person
who has phone has not used it to call out. It's up to me when to deactivate the phone. I have unlimited night/weekend, will probably cancel/deactivate phone tomorrow to prevent min usage, but if they use the phone, I can at least know where they're at and what number they called...

Has this happened to anyone? Any further advice?

You should call Tmobile.
You can get a new phone from eBay or Amazon (but you'll have to signup for another year of Tmobile if you want it for cheap).
If you have the IMEI number of the phone, you can call Tmobile and deactivate the phone. If your phone was bought from Tmobile, Tmobile probably has the IMEI.

Call them.

call them as soon as they open. better safe then sorry. And there is nothing you can do but buy a new phone. Luckily for you, you have a wide variety of choices and should be able to find a crappy phone for pretty cheap. Might not have all the bells and whistles of your old phone, but that's life for ya.

I've lost my phone before, but luckily Sprint phones don't use that memory card crap or whatever its called. Once the phone is disabled, the person that has it can't use it. It's just a paperweight. Eventually the person tossed the phone, someone else picked it up and called me and I got my $300 phone back.

Yeah, the SIM system definitely has its advantages. For a while I toyed with the idea of using two phones but decided the hassle of ESN swaps wasn't worth it for me.

USA does not do IMEI banning. Good and bad. Good, we can move to whatever phone we want without telling our carriers. Bad, lose the phone, never gets reported stolen. Just have tmobile put a hold on your account sim.
