Hey guys. I cant figure out where the rest of my computer parts are(partial story below the photos) I would expect all of these parts to still be together. The following is a list of the parts that were not returned to me:
* Nzxt Lexa S Case
* Cold Cathode Black-Lights
* Uv-sensitive fans/cables/ducts
* Three Plastic Neon Funny Straws(one pink, one blue and one green)
* Copper Zalman CPU Cooling Fan.

A couple years ago my computer crashed, so I made a deal with someone allowing them take my computer to their home so that they could fix it/make some improvements on it like they said they would. For my part of the deal, I was going to pay them whatever amount they came up with after the job was completed, but of course with my luck, the computer was never fixed or improved. They said they did not have time to build it anymore, so when I went to pick everything up, the entire thing was totally disassembled and in pieces on the closet floor in their bedroom . When I asked where my computer tower was, I was told that it was thrown away because it was dirty.......... and when I asked where all the other unaccounted parts were, I was told that they were "all over the place". Then I stupidly just left with a shoe box, which contained the parts that they were willing to give back to me.......I was very upset that this had happened, not only because of how much I loved that computer or how much all of the missing parts were worth but because the computer was a graduation present from my grandfather and was custom made by an old family friend. It was very unique and one of a kind. No one out there has a computer that looks like that with straws and a pinwheel in it. I don't think it would be that hard to find if every person knew about it. If somebody has it, I would buy them a brand new computer in order to have that one back because when I saw it in pieces on the floor with no tower or black lights or any of the other cool visuals, I felt like a part of me had died. I am very glad though, that I stumbled upon this site because I need help with finding my things. It would be great if this post could get re-posted throughout hundreds or thousands, heck or millions of other sites like this. Post it anywhere and everywhere. That'd be cool if it ended up on the news! haha but if anyone out there has any information or recognizes this computer, please email me at HalloGARYween@gmail.com I also can be contacted on facebook.com/HalloGARYween

It would be great if you guys could leave me a list of any of sites like this so that I can just post this stuff myself.

If anybody reading this thinks that they might have my missing things, please don't hesitate to contact me and/or send any pictures of what you think could be mine. I would not claim any parts to be mine unless I was very sure they were. If anyone does have those things, I would like to work together to figure out a way where we both can benefit from this whole shitty situation. My name is Gary Lewis and I am from a small town in South Jersey near Deptford. I am just trying to locate my missing things, so if this post could get re-posted throughout the internet and beyond, that would be totally rad since the parts could have ended up anywhere in this world. I have a strong feeling that these parts are still being used together somewhere. I am really desperate, but any who, thank you for taking the time to read this.

cheers

To set right expectations for you, your parts were stolen and as the guy said thrown out or sold. You will most likely never find them because they may no longer even be in use, and there is also very low chance that someone who has them, reads this forum, and if even, he is willing to contact you and return them. I'm sorry for your loss, but I really would think to ask your friend of making you another parts or buy retail replacements, also accept it that it happened, we sometimes lose the stuff we like, it's part of life.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for the Creede- err, Crazy Straws.

In all seriousness, the stuff that wasn't worthless (crazy straws) is simply much to common to track down years later and there are hundreds of forums online without people building/using/trading that stuff.

2 years ago? That's like $5 now.

Oops sorry didn't see the part about not caring about value.

Oh I totally saw this yesterday! The poor homeless guy at Union Station was using it as a box to store his cans

On the off chance that this isn't a troll thread.....

You will never find this stuff. It is all retail items that many people have purchased and used. There is no way to identify if it was yours at one time.

If this was two years ago, just let it go. You should have done something about it then.

If it was two weeks ago, report it as stolen to the police and give them the name of the guy that had it.

For what it's worth, I was kind enough to search the For Sale/Trade forum here with the search terms Nzxt lexa case. There it's mentioned in 22 FS/T threads from the past 7 or 8 years. Only three of those threads were within the past 3 years; two of those threads were from the same user. The most recent was August of 2011. The seller was posting from a static IP address from Rochester, NY. So, that pretty much rules him out. And, that seller's for sale thread was closed, because he didn't enable his FS/T email in his profile. A glance at his private message statistics shows that he received two PMs, likely concerning his thread being locked; and he did not send any private messages. He left with that post being his only post. I think that completely rules him out as being the seller of your parts.

And, the other thread that mentions the same case is from over 2 1/2 years ago. That user is from Carmel, NY. The time frame, given your 2 years, makes this also quite unlikely.

Thus, sorry, it doesn't appear that your case was sold here. Though, I suppose, a thread could have been edited to remove that from the listing, in which case, it might be impossible to search for.

And lastly, paragraphs. Do they teach how to use paragraphs in New Jersey??

WTH is this? You know where the guy lives who had your computer and you're posting on random tech sites hoping for clues? Even if we had a genuine clue, you do know where it would have to lead right? You already have the best clue anyone could give you. Now go over there and shoot that guy in the neck NOW!

Time to call the Hardly Boys.
They might get a raging clue as to where your junk is.

If it helps, my 6 year old has some straws like that I can donate to the cause.

I think I can help. All I need are your social security and credit card numbers, plus $1000 cash.

how do they make money from this?

If it's serious, these parts are so common that someone might just decide to scam you and sell your parts back.
If someone actually bought them from the thief, they're not going to disassemble their computer in pursue of affection value.

So just to make sure I'm reading this right, you are essentially putting out an APB to the ENTIRE WORLD looking for specific computer parts from 2 years ago that might/might not have been sold on the secondary market, and to top it off you have no way to identify any of these parts as belonging to you. Did I miss anything?
