I am playing the thing and I really do feel like a magician having to draw seals to use spells.

I also like the fact I get to command my meatshield minions and if wanted to, i just sit back and draw healing seals. And the more you use the spell (I used the basic fire seal because its easy and fast to draw) the more it skills up so your time is not utterly wasted.

The levels are timed and if you dont finish your objectives within the time period, you lose on that level in addition to the usual main character dying. It can be of an annoyance but it also focuses on carefully planning your objectives on the fly in addition to having to micro manage your battles.

It is such a shame that the story is very linear. It would be a much better game if it was more RPG like and included the same gameplay mechanics. Controls are very simple and all it takes is your stylus and your right or left hand for the L or R buttons to start drawing your seals.

I think there might be a Wii version out. I hope so because it would be just as fun.
