Lost is the best TV show in a long, long, time.

Ya, I know, welcome to yesterday 😉

But I'm not a big TV fan, and my previous experience of TV from the last 5 years or so has been only Sopranos, and West Wing. And I was late to those also, watching all of Soprano's on DVD prior to last two seasons, and all of West Wing on DVD (or downloading).

Anyway, so I'm off in South Korea for the year teaching English and I've run out of movies to watch. So I randomly decide to give Lost a few episodes. And though the first couple episode were pretty damn hokey, soon thereafter I was hooked. Hooked bad. I think I killed an entire season in a week, and then season two even quicker. My goodness the show is good 😀

And Season 3 starts soon? I'm so stoked.
 
My friends how recomended Shield, saying I wouldn't believe how gritty it is. I'm kinda weary of cop shows though. They LOVE CSI here in SK.

What is BSG?

Oh, btw, the Shield is an excellent show, and it's nothing like the current crop of cookie-cutter cop/detective/forensics shows that are currently the rage on broadcast television.
 
Lost is good but coming from a person that obviously hates tv and only watches the most pop/trendy shows.... I give this thread a 1/20.

bsg/desperate housewives/24/4400/its always sunny in philidelphia/prison break/the wire and plenty others are also good🙂

as for lost, don't get too sucked in, the creator has a habit of starting strong, but falling down a few years in. think felicity...alias...and now..uh oh..lost😉

Yes, second season filming now to air in UK Jan 2007. I think there is also a US and possibly a film version in the works. Difficult to beat the original casting though in my opinion.
 
Yup, got me back into TV watching lol. I was cleaning for years before my brother suggested picking up on this show. Now I watch Lost, House, Medium, My Name is Earl (love that show lol), The Office, and of course the classic X-files. I just picked up a TiVo with one of their specials recently, thank goodness 😉
 
I usually watch just one show on TV. First it was Fullmetal Alchemist. Then I was watching CSI. I've started watching (at the suggestion of a roommate) 4400 and Lost. I've only seen one or two episodes each though... They will do until I can find CSI Season 3.

Yeah I started watching CSI because my wife loves the show (the original Las Vegas series only tho). Pretty good, but I'm not much for the gore. I started watching the 4400 but I'm having a hard time getting into it, maybe if I started in Series 1 instead of Series 3 or whatever is currently playing now.

Yeah, I don't even bother with the other versions of CSI. I just moved here to San Marcos, and my new roommate watches a lot of TV. It's crazy. I might have to put a capture card on the server, and start recording all of this stuff...
 
No it isn't. I like the shield, veronica mars, battlestar galactica, the wire, rome, deadwood, rescue me, scrubs, curb your enthusiasm, and doctor who more. But if you exclude those, yeah it's excellent.
 
What's it about? I've never seen even a second of the show. Thank God I don't watch too much Hollywood crap anymore ...
 
While I thought the first 2 seasons of Lost were good, I've been turned off by some news I've read about the future of the show.
It appears the directors / writers of the show have planned to push the Lost series out to 4 , 5 or more seasons. So, it appears to me the first two seasons were to lure everyone to the television, and then after that point, the show is the same crap.

I agree with what Stephen King said about Lost; "tell the story; get to the point and end it".. Lost would be excellent if they were able to accomplish the whole story in the two seasons that have been shown.

yup, life on mars coming back. hustle was also good, atleast season 1-2, i haven't watched the latest yet. and of course theres always spooks🙂
