i would like to know if there are any websites,faq's,fourms....etc that deal with midi setup and implacation for a noob. what would be the best interface and sequencer

Most of the links I had are now dead.

Anvil studio is a free midi editor that has a web site with a forum and links , so that is a start.

I use Anvil to make clips from existing MIDI files for ringtones. 🙂 Sorry that's about all I can say.
