I've lost my western digital startup disk and I'm wondering if their is any other thing I can use to start up my new computer?
 
What exactly do you need to do? I install new HDDs all the time for myself and clients - and never use the CD that comes with the drive.

Download UBCD and burn it onto a disk - you then have all the tools you'll ever need and more.
