hi everyone

I need some help
I accidentally formatted my 40gig HD.. As soon as I clicked to format I realized it was wrong HD and i quickly canceled, it did not even rech 1%. After that I was unable to acess that HD..When I tried to open it I got message "The Disk in drive E is not formatted. Do you wish to format it now? Y/N" I have some important stuff there. Is there any way to recover any of the data? Maybe there is some program to recover it? I tried to recover it in windows recovery but did not work.. Any sugesstions welcome..

thanks

you can e-mail me also at Lordan@nyc.rr.com

thanks a lot

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. There are those who have done the same thing and those that are going to. You can find a multitude of programs designed to recover from just this kind of error. Norton Utilities is always a good start.

you can format harddrives in win2k under disk management. fat32 and ntfs partitions are your options.
