Ever since Catalyst 3.6 (I'm now on 3.8) I've lost my TV on Demand
functions, and the TV tuner no longer appears as a capture source. I've
upgraded MMC from 8.5 to 8.6, and finally to 8.7 to see if a reinstall would
help, but it's no different. Each time, I've completely removed all ATI
software and drivers before installing the new ones.
I can select the TV tuner in Windows Movie Maker but I can't tune it.
Investigating further, I ran the MMC PC check, and it says my processor is
non-MMX. This can't be right - it's a 1.8MHz Pentium 4, and used to work
just fine. Just to be sure, I've run Passmark's Performance Test V4.0, and
all the MMX tests pass with flying colours.
I've made no changes in the BIOS, and as far as I can tell (I don't use it
all that much) it's only started happening since Catalyst 3.6. The only
thing I can find on the ATI support site is to check my BIOS (which I have, though I can't find anything obvious that would affect this) and make sure I have the latest BIOS update (which I do).
The card is a Sapphire AIW9700 Pro, and the motherboard is a Gigabyte
GA81RXP.
Any ideas?
