lost floppy drive??

My floppy drive A: is lost in explorer- can't be found - it exists - ghost can find it to make a boot disk - other programs can find it - but I have no A: drive accesible to me. Where did it go??

could be a possible virus, lots of old ones floating around that remove drives, cd's, floppy's, etc. Wish I knew more to help you, but maybe this isnt an option that you had thought of.
