Lost Files

I very recently had some files on my computer deleted from my computer in their entirety. Unfortunately, these files were not backed up. I am in dire need to get these back (copies of bills, important pictures, accountant information, etc..) and was curious if anyone here has any ideas as to how to get them back without referring to a computer specialist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

ok. first, DON'T USE THE COMPUTER ANY MORE! any hdd activity could erase the files. disconnect the drive and connnect it in another computer as a slave. then get some file recovery software. unless you deleted it in an unrecoverable way, the files are still their. windows is just not aware of it. but any HDD activity could delete them.

try one of these and see if it helps. just remember, DON'T INSTALL IT ON THE AFFECTED DRIVE!

I have used a program called R-studio to great affect in the past. You have to pay for it, but its not overly expensive and is easy to use.

Also follow forummasters instrucyions as well
