Lost a contact lense in my eye last night...

I've been wearing glasses for 19 years and got contacts last Monday. Everything was going pretty well, and I have had no trouble removing, cleaning, and re-installing them.

Last night I got home from work and was washing my face to get ready for a party. I looked up and saw that my right eye was blury. I looked in the sink, and saw nothing (assuming the baby had been thrown out with the bathwater). I took the left lense out, and put my crappy glasses on and took a really good look at my right eyeball, looking for the shadow of the edge of the lense. Nothing.

I went to the party pissed and have a craptastic time.

This morning, I'm sat behind my keyboard to check the ol' eMule queue, and it felt like I had something in my eye. Kinda felt like something scratcing my eyeball. I manipulated the lid and saw a blurry blotch. It was my contact lense! :Q taking a closer look, it was wrinkled up a bit creased.

Anyone else here ever loose a contact lense somewhere in their socket? Do you suppose I should try putting the creased lense back in my dextral ocular? Where did the lense go? 😕

Clifs:
1. 1st time contact wearer
2. Lost a lense it my eye for 12 hours
3. Found it creased and wrinkley

couple people i know had the hard lenses that u take out and clean?..not the soft disposable?...had to get them removed by the doc....they were behind their eye balls or something close to that

I lost a contact in my eye for over a day once🙁 It was very strange because like you I thought I lost in somewhere out of my eye.

probably just got caught under your eye lid. It's happened a few times to me.

Me too. They're kinda tough to find then, too.

And your lens is probably still good to use.

When I wore contacts I had lost it behind my eye ball before but I could always feel it and never had a situation where it was lost in my eye and I didn't know it, I wore contacts from the age of 12 to 24, it's now been about 2 years since I had LASIK surgery and have to say it's some of the best money I've ever spent in my life thus far.

I've had a contact tear in my eye, and I took out what I though was the whole contact... well, the next day I had a swollen eye since a piece of contact was still stuck kinda behind my eyeball. After a lot of rubbing and a bottle of saline solution, the torn piece finally made it's way out.
