Lost: 8 freaking series?

so the tubby actor who plays hurley was being interviewed and he says the story could go on for 8 series, but it all depends on ratings, etc. Obviously if it starts to get dull afdter 5 series they'll maybe 'shorten' it to 6.

Madness. I thought 2 series was irritating: the fact that nothing is answered, only more questions put out. It's all very frustrating.

What do you think?

i think you should stop watching.......and it's 8 seasons, not series.

Considering it's one of the best series of television, I'd love to see it go on for 8 seasons. I just hope the writing and acting continue to stay strong.

Now that makes a lot more sense. I couldn't imagine them spamming their network with eight spinoffs of one show.

That show is addicting in the sense that I want to know WTF is going to happen but also annoying how they just completely ignore topics for weeks at a time and then when they'll touch on it, it still doesn't answer anything.

After Carnivale was cancelled, as well as Six Feet Under. And the pending end of Deadwood and the Sopranos.. I hope that lost can make it as many seasons as possible. As long as it stays good, I am happy.

Personally I really don't feel there are that many unanswered questions. The mysteries are so intertwined that they're all touching each other.

It's like non-interactive Myst.

They ansered TONS of questions in the second season. Sure, they created twice as many questions in the process, but if they answered all the questions then the show would turn into a modern day Gilligan's Island.

I just got the book "Bad Twin" the other day. I am going to start reading it on my plane flight over to Australia. I also have all of Lost season 1 on my laptop...is it a bad idea to watch that on a flight to/from LA and Australia?

Just don't watch it on the way back!

*cough*X-Files*cough*

i bailed after the religious overtures entered into the plots. the show's gimmick of not resolving any plot points explicitly got old to me.

I think it's one more difference between english and american. I'm pretty sure over here we call what you call a season a series. Same difference: you say tomato, I say smell my finger.

Dont' get me wrong, I really enjoy lost, but I want to have it all wrapped up as I hate being kept in suspense (I one of those who likes to possess entire series of 24 so I don't have to wait a week for the next ep). I just really hope that the writers really have it all sorted so the final series will end with *everything* explained and no loose ends.
