I don't think Patchy was ever dead. I think he faked his own death. If you rememeber the Juliet and Kate episode, Juliet had to turn the wall on since it was off. All Patchy did was let spit out of his mouth and fall down. I don't remeber them checking his vitals or anything.

Well the fence made the noise when he was pushed into it, and he also bled from his ears.

Not 100% sure but I think Sayid checked his pulse too and proclaimed him dead.

No. Locke pushed him through the invisible fence. For Sayid to do that he would've had to walk through it too. I have trouble remembering, but I don't think they used the fallen tree to climb over it right after Patchy died.

I don't think the island healed him. I think he knew he'd just get knocked out and look like he died, which is why he was glad Locke did that to him.

I'd like to bring up Jack and, specifically, that he's an idiot for trusting Juliette. Idiot.

They did use the tree to climb over and he did check his pulse.

Any translations of what she really said to Patchy? He said she said "Thank you" but the look on his face seemd odd. It kinda felt like she said "You..." or something to him. Anyone know?

according to lostpedia:

"After Mikhail and Desmond treat Naomi's wound, she says something in Portuguese not spelled out in the captions. It is not "Thank you" as Mikhail claims. Instead, it sounds like "Eu não estou só" which is Portuguese (spoken with a Brazilian accent) for "I am not alone." This is possibly in conjunction with the discovery of the backpack containing the book entitled "Ardil 22" the Portuguese-language version of "Catch 22."

interesting. she is not alone, eh?

i knew there had to be somebody else on the helicopter, in fact since the last episode at the very end when they revealed that she wasnt penny, i was betting myself that there is a good chance that penny is on the island, why would she give up that picture?

While I agree that there was somebody else on the helicopter, I don't think it is Penny. The picture that Naomi has is a photocopy, not the original.

Desmond has the original. And there was only one shot taken. Desmond and Penny broke up right after the picture was taken. So there shouldn't be any copies.

Right...maybe Desmond does have the original. But there was another picture, (not Desmond's) inside of the Catch-22 book they found in the backpack, that was on a sheet of white paper, hence when I said it was photocopied.

And maybe cause Desmond is a time traveler there are more than 1 copy of it?

when patchy walked away with the sat phone, why did Desmond try to stop Jin from trying to retreive it?

and why didnt patchy run away to try to avoid being caught with the phone. (he just walked a little faster as he heard jin approaching.)

Dunno about that one. He was foaming at the mouth and had blood pouring out of his ears, which usually means a brain hemorrhage or incredibly severe trauma. Based on what happened to him, I find it hard to believe he was simply "knocked out" and then just walked off at some point with no lingering effects.

The island clearly has healing capabilities but it seems to only apply to certain people. Obviously, it didn't apply to Shannon, Boone or the couple that got the spider bites and possibly Ben as well. Then again, aside from Patch and Locke, have we seen any true evidence of healing? If not, what would make those two capable of being healed?

I almost wonder if he had another sat phone and switched it out when they caught up with him. He did have that devious smile on his face when they took it from him.

I think that the reason for the unexplained copy of the picture is another question to be answered.

supposedly, they're going to announce how many more seasons Lost is going to be on for at some point this summer, after which they're going to start working on actually resolving some of the questions that come up every week.

One more should be sufficient. As I said earlier, any more and this is going to get real old. It still has its shock factor, which is GREAT, but that can only stay for so long.

then don't watch it. the only thing getting old is the constant bitching in these threads.

Some of the bitching is justified. A lot of the blame is the promotion by ABC. They make false claims of "MUST WATCH EPISODE" and "mysteries solved" and then the episode is about finding a hippie skeleton with a case of rotgut beer.

I bitch a little about it. Then again, I still watch and can't wait until we get some real answers.

The writers of the show have nothing to do with hte promotion. Just ignore the commercials like i do.

Either way should be a great episode

So when the episodes are on but there's no talking in the scene, do you describe what's going on to her?

I have to say that Sun & Jin's storyline is my absolute favorite in this mess called Lost.

You're only saying that because Sun is hot. :D

i also got the impression she did not say that.

also, you gotta figure she was sent there by the same people who are with the dharma initiative, there is a very good chance she tried to tell him something.

it sounded like russian.

Besides, "thank you" in Italian is "gracis." So that's not what she said. I don't even speak Italian and I know that. :p

Being Lost, a lot of things can't be explained. But when the pic was taken and Desmond broke things off with Penny, they were still living together. It's possible when she was moving out, she asked to borrow the pic so she could make a copy of it.

I am sure they will work it in a flashback somehow.
