They were talking about Lost on WEEI (boston radio station) a couple days ago. One of the columnists made a good point: Isn't it funny how in the first season, the island seemed a lot smaller than it is now? They were able to trek the entire island in less than a day, and now all of a sudden, there's a whole community/village of "The Others." If they were able to travel across the island in one day, why didn't they find the community earlier?

Yeah it seemed so, but they really never fully explored island, and most of the walking were only thru a part of island. But I guess they found their community now, havent they

Presumably there are areas of the island only accessible by boat, or the Others are on a second island entirely. Linus was remarkably concerned that the survivors had access to a boat.

Presumably there are areas of the island only accessible by boat, or the Others are on a second island entirely. Linus was remarkably concerned that the survivors had access to a boat.

adding to that they wanted the boat and nothing else.

It's funny why he did kiss Kate. He wanted to see what the people were capable of. He quickly realized that none of them are trained in fighting, etc. He suspects two actually can slug it out while one may know karate. The rest are not an issue.

After last week, I actually kept track.

Every 7 minutes or so there were 2-3 minutes of commercials.

There were a total of 6 blocks of commercials during the show.

Atelast once there was only 6 minutes of show between commercials.

I am very PISSED about this and I might stop watching it on TV and instead I'll just DL via ???? means. To many commercial breaks just screws up the flow to much.

Thank god for DVR. Now, only if I can afford a HD DVR. I refuse to watch Lost in HD because off too many commercials.

well, i just watched season 1 & 2 in succession in the past 3 weeks.

this morning I finished eps 1 & 2 of season 3. :thumbsup:

I'm interested to see what part Rousseau will play in the future... she could be a pretty kickass ally once she learns that the Others have her daughter and she is healthy & ok.

Sayid should be kicking way more ass than he is. I was expecting him to shoot at least one of the Others when the gunfight erupted on the dock. Jin is tougher than I gave him credit for. Watching him toss that dude around was kind of liberating.

Seeing Sawyer take a few rounds out of the chain gang crew was sweet. What a great character.

Looking forward to dl'ing the eps as they are available. Since I've watched everything up to now without commercials, I will want to keep it that way.

what I don't get is after Sawyer beat the crap out of those guys and had the machine gun in his hands, why didn't he just mow them down right there and then (before he saw Kate had the gun on her)... why would he stop short to fight another day? Also on that scene, I'm sorry but Kate has beat the crap out of several guys on the show and has been shown to be a cold blooded hard-ass. Yet she lets that Juliette chick get the drop on her? Common. She puts on a dress (thank you Jeebus, you answered my prayers) and becomes a pansy?
