I wonder why the sky flashed and turned a violet color because Desmond turned the key, or just because the base had a system failure.

Season three is going to focus more on romance? WTF???? Man I hope they don't ruin this freaking series with this crap.

Agreed 100%.

You're taking an interview with an minor actress as fact.
None of the actors know what's happening on the show.
JJ has stated that only about 4 people truly know every secret on the show.

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but the last scene w/ the two guys monitoring the electromagnetic anomaly finally kills all those purgatory/they're dead theories.

Didn't J.J. and company dismiss the purgatory theory a while ago?

Yes, they did that a while back.

yeah I remember that too, but people kept insisting on it...

When they explain everything, the show is over. If the ratings are still high when the original cast gets sick of making new episodes, expect a new plane to crash with all new survivors. Then they will have a fresh batch of back stories to tell. In other words, don't expect to know what's going on until the show is about to go off the air. Six years from now, the final scene of the final episode will show Hurley waking up from his coma in the hospital.

i wish just once someone would make a show and have a set timeline for it... 3 seasons of lost seems like it could be a very good run, high calibre all the way through (cut out some of the long drawn out stuff this season and get into the other's story by now). link it next season and wrap it all up. a good kick ass show. IMO anyway. I really hope this doesn't go way of the xfiles... I loved the first 3 or so seasons... was hooked..and then I just lost interest, it got too weird and too many plots that would never get wrapped up (or it just took too long).

The LOST writers said in their final podcast the first six episodes of next season will focus on a) why Jack, Kate, and Sawyer and b) deeper relationships between the primary characters (romance). They also said that overall the mythology will be less important.

Holy crap! :Q

Finally got around to watching the season finale.

As much as the show leaves you with so many questions & no answers [yet], episodes like that are why it's the best TV series on air right now! 🙂

Is there any way to watch it other than the small, buggy media player ABC has on their website? I find it annoying that I can't go full screen and have to be sitting in my computer chair with my nose 9 inches away from the monitor to see it. Wish they made it in mpg or avi format! I was out of town and didn't have TV or internet access until tonight.

Needle in a haystack with torrents. I'll watch the ABC version I guess.

Finally saw the finale last night.

Meh. I think the show took a very very wrong turn somewhere between Walt's telekenesis and the Dharma Initiative. And the mess of a finale was proof of this. Not much of a fan anymore myself.

Abrams has proven that he's a master of writing characters.....from Felicity to Alias to Lost.....the strength of his shows has always been in the human drama. He's not a storyteller and he's failing miserably at it.

Why do you say needle in a haystack? Do you have trouble finding consistently high-quality torrents of TV shows?

I heard that one of the writers is a yankee fan? Look at the numbers 😉

4 - Lou Gehrig
8 - Yogi Berra/Bill Dickey
15 - Thurman Munson (who coincidentally died on a plane crash)
16 - Whitey Ford
23 - Don Mattingly
42 - Mariano Rivera

This would be the first time I used torrents in over 4 years. I found the show by another method though.

lol, I didn't know torrents were old. I thought they're 2 years tops.

Someone said this on our forum a long time ago, maybe half way through the season.

I was taking a stab at it. They are at least three years since I was at my last job (4/03) when I heard of them. They weren't popular and widespread until about two years ago. Back on topic.

Saw it, left a lot of questions and also answered a bunch. We know the Swan was real in some ways and Desmond should have shed some light on his past before this episode. We know the "others" are fakes for sure now. Henry seems to be a man of power. I have a feeling the 1/3 episode will be as shocking as this one was.

"Walt's telekenesis" - ummm, there is no proof of this. Nothing that can't be explained by coincidence anyways. Him appearing wet in the woods is hte only odd thing that I can think of as odd.

We were talking about this at work. I think 5 of 6 of the numbers are retired Yankees numbers.

I also think that people are looking way to much into the numbers.

POTENTIAL SPOILER: not really, bu some might think so:

FYI: Season 3 will focus on:
1) developig love stories
2) learning more about "the others"

Did anyone else notice the drastic change in the condition from the Desmond flashbacks to the current times. The dome windows look moldier and the dome itself looks darker just in a couple of years.

Anyone notice how Desmond was there for 3 years and there was no replacement? Weren't the replacments supposed to come every 540 days?

In his flashback, he read about a bird, and then the same bird hit his house window. He read the comic book with the polar bear, and a polar bear showed up.

Good point, I wonder if he will be back next season.
