I can't believe Locke is falling for what the captured other is telling him.

I really do not like what they are doing to his character at all lately. He was always the metaphysical one, the one who seemed to know something that the rest didn't. Now he just stays down in the hatch pressing the button.

Locke would have also had more patience for Charlie and hist dreans/visions about baptising the baby.

He also would be exploring the island more. He was obsessed with the hatch when he was digging it up and when he opened it. You would think that he would want to travel further down the rabbit hole, and learn more about the island.

Locke episode is coming soon and we will see why he is that way

by coming soon does that mean in 2 months? these breaks really really turn me off from this show.

but i always find myself making SURE to watch the new eps in HD as they air heh. this is a show i love to hate.

Next Ep is Jin/Sun centric
After that on March 29 is Lock centric episode
After that Hurley Centric (But dont quote me on it.)

A friend mentioned that they were watching a "rerun" episode and noticed new things.

Do you think they're adding clues to the old episodes?

That's funny you say that....
In the "Last time..on lost" opening part, of last season when they showed claire get taken, she screamed' "He was trying to hurt to baby! He stabbed me with something!" (or something like that) I sure as hell don't remember her every saying she got stabbed before last season. Dont you think Jack woulda checked her out and stuff?

I remember her saying that she was stabbed in that episode. though because everyone thought she was delusional, nobody believed her. I dont know why she did not show them the needle prick though..

but hte purgatory idea: Think about this, all the characters have some sort of foil/flaw in their characters.....shannon was self-centered, couldn't love, etc. , boone never seemed to be very brave, etc. As soon as they overcome those things (shannon falling for syed, boone venturing into that airplane) they die, and are removed from the island. Dharma has to do with the Buddhist religion as well, not sure if someone's already covered this.

That's an excellent theory except for the fact that the producers say that the island isn't purgatory.

cuz a needle stick isnt going to show much, i mean heck i can tell when someone is stuck with a needle mostly cuz i draw blood start IVs all the time at work.....but if it's done right it's hardly detectable.

My thoughts exactly, Locke was a bad as now he falls for the oldest tricks in the book. It is disappointing to see them ruin his character.

I think deep down Locke is actually a weak person. You saw how he was when his father used and dumped him. Look at how he freaked out when they wouldn't let him join the austrailian outdoors trip. The island and all the weird things happening offer him a chance to cover up all those insecurities.

Then again, it is just a TV show and it could be inconsistent writing.

What character flaws do the remaining cast members have? How does this explain the numbers? What about Locke and his walking? Your theory has more holes than swiss cheese.

Locke doesn't have to overcome his handicap, that's not a flaw in personality or character, that's physical, it's something else in him. Jack's might be the closeness with his father, Kate's her past, etc.

yah, I don't give them much credit with that....i mean they seem to be at the level of having characters say 'teehee...you made out with sawyer...teehee'....so having the island be a profound purgatory would be beyond that scope. Psychological experiment island it is!!

Rousseau is the french lady. Henry Gale is the guy captured in the armory of the hatch. It's unclear if he really is an "other."

Even if they find a balloon, the mind games he played on Locke leave me little doubt.

Yeah. My prediction for the next episode is they find the ballon, let the guy go, then find the body of the real balloonist, but not before he escapes.

Henry gale is the name of Dorthys uncle in the wizard of oz. btw.

And a balloon is how the wizard originally came to OZ.

So why the heck is everything gone in the Doctor Hatch except the beard and hat and beard glue? We know Zeeke just used it a few days ago (maybe a week on island time, not more than that) when he saw Jack and Swayer and Locke. So he came back, put the beard and hat there, and moved on?

No, before Dorthy even went to Oz, the wizard got there "From our world" (whatever you want to call it) using a balloon

The crap they injected Claire with is definitely the same as Desmond as taking. It had CR and the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 on the label IIRC.

When Desmond freaked out about the computer being busted back in the first eps of this season, he rushed off with a backpack full of that stuff. But I'm pretty sure in his haste he left a few canisters of that drug. I don't see why after these people discovered all these things that they haven't searched through cabinets looking for useful stuff. Claire could get a vial of that crap and inject the baby if she wants to be the dumb bitch she is.
