3 weeks...NOOOOO!!!
This episode was pretty weak, but so far I think this season is very good. The scene with the others waking past Jin and Mr Echo(?) was intense, though!

second weak one in a row...it seems like the writers are trying to set up what's gonna happen, and they alreayd ended the second season.

it seems like this will be a repeat of last week's normal/boring episode.
When are you people going to give it up? This is LOST, not 24! The show was no different last year. If you don't like it, don't watch!

as a fan of both shows, i beg to differ. 24 is much more engaging than lost.

why in the world is there a 3 week break? is there some kind of holiday that i'm not aware of?

I said LOST isn't 24.

Anyway, I take that back. This season does need some work.

We're still getting the flashbacks, but not with very much new information. And the relationships between the characters on the island, which were at times as interesting as the hatch or anything else mysterious, aren't going anywhere either.

I felt Jack and Kate were only in the episode because the writers knew they had to put them in at some point or the fans would get mad. And that sucks.

Genetically enhanced kids that like to kill people. Maybe those people grabbed Walt so they could use him to get rid of the others.

A tv series usually goes about 22-24 episodes. A tv season runs for many more weeks than that. This is why:

- shows have a lot of "repeat" or off weeks
- they start it late in the tv season (like "24" in January) and they can run it straight through, sometimes multiple episodes a night.

Basically, we give up something either way... I mean, "24" used to start in the Fall. That was until they changed that for season 4 this year (January 2005)... so it's a longer wait between seasons now (but we never have off-weeks  )

This episode was so unlike previous ones - all of a sudden, the acting, direction, editing - everything seems to have become mediocre. There was one shot of Mr.Echo and Jin in the jungle where Mr.Echo says something really corny and then they give each other this dramatic look - I actually laughed out loud. Also, Jin's role as the hotel doorman was so contrived - the doorman with a heart of gold for underprivileged people like himself - I mean, come on - who TF came up with that crap? The whole sequence seemed so odd and like some B-grade chick flick. Well, they're promising the next episode will tbe one talked about most in Season 2 (which doesn't bode very well for the remaining episodes :p ) - keeping my fingers crossed :)

I liked the constant play off the color orange after the initial prophesy. Every time orange appears in the flashback, you go "THAT'S THE ORANGE" and it turns out to have been an incorrect prophesy all along. The tall glasses of orange juice, the flower Jin wore, the dress. Contrasting, in the end, the prophesy against the matchmaker.

What's the deal with Kate and Sawyer? There was that uncomfortable moment with Kate and the messages in the bottle. Bad idea turning their flirtatious animosity into an actual romance.

being Korean, i really like when they spotlight Jin and Sun. :D

i'm not sure what everyone is complaining about, i like episodes that focus on character development and flashbacks. the characters are all so compelling and flawed, it's so interesting (to me at least) when we learn more about their pasts. i don't mind the slow build up.

Kate in a tank top in HD is very, very nice!

I think I'm in the minority when I say I actually liked the episode. I enjoyed the character development without all the mystery, cloak and dagger, answer a question, reveal another question stuff that has been happening so far this season.

One thing that has been grating on me the entire season....why is everybody so obtuse? Everybody is keeping secrets. At this point, with all that's gone down, would you just spill the beans about everything you've seen? Serious breakdown in communication.

one interesting thing is the "trust issues" that that blonde woman from the other camp was talking about. it was interesting to see the stark difference between the camps. i thought it was cool to see how startled Echo was to see the loyalty in Jin looking for Michael and Michael looking for his son. i want to find out that happened that Echo is so unused to the loyalty...

you suck. i don't get the obsession with knowing what happens before you watch it on the show.

damn, that part looks like the spoiler is in the link....then it's right there :(

i know, i know...."expect spoilers"......*sigh*

yeah i'm done with these lost threads. i thought it would be cool to talk about all the mysterious parts of the show, but this guy has to ruin it by telling everyone what's going to happen every episode. meh

What the fvck. Thanks for ruining the show, I really appreciate it. :|

I came in to discuss what I thought of 2x05 and instead get pissed off that some idiot decided to tell who dies in the next episode that's three weeks away. Way to crosspost Kev

We really should bring back the medieval practice of quartering. :|

I loved "When Jinny Met Sunny", I thought it was a really nice backstory after me getting the impression some time ago that Jin wasnt exactly a good guy.

The directors keep flirting around the Others, but at least we know what they're capable of... that's why we saw the body. Murder and Kidnapping thus far... well, we've SEEN the kidnapping, we didnt see the murder ;)
